Main objective:

To strengthen collaborative potential and increase efficiency of cross-border cooperation through consolidation and technical assistance to the emerging European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) “Polish–Lithuanian Functional Area” (PLFA).

Main activities and achievements:

  • Strategic diagnosis of the EGTC area
  • Strategic workshops supporting the development of the functional area
  • Study visit to leading EGTCs in Belgium and Luxembourg
  • Joint trainings on territorial cooperation and cross-border governance
  • Territorial cooperation mapping workshops
  • Development of the EGTC Polish–Lithuanian Functional Area Cooperation Strategy
  • Development of the Manual of Administrative Structures and Competences
  • Launch of the Cross-border Functional Dynamics Observatory (online open data repository)
  • Scientific conference inaugurating the activities of the EGTC “Polish–Lithuanian Cross-border Functional Area”

EU financing: The project received €126,657.60 from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), representing 80% of the total eligible project budget of €158,322.00.

Implementation period: December 2024 – November 2025 (12 months)
